WELCOME TO OSL
What to Expect
We know visiting a new church can be a little nerve-racking.
Here are some things you can expect:
First
Arrival
When you first arrive to church, there are greeters in the entrance to welcome you! If you have any questions or are unsure where to go, they will be glad to assist you. There is an Info Center bulletin board in the Fellowship hall where you can see church news, upcoming events and the different groups that meet throughout the week.
Easy to
Follow
Our worship service is outlined both in your bulletin (handed out in the entrance) and projected on a screen in the Sanctuary so you always know where we are in the service.
Service Styles
The 8:30 am service is a traditional service, including the liturgy, readings, hymns and a more formal service style.
The 11:00 am service is a praise & worship service. The songs are contemporary and the responsive readings vary from week to week based on the scriptures that are being focused on. This service style is more relaxed and attractive to newcomers.
What to Wear
We are a laid-back "come as you are" kind of church. People wear anything from jeans and a t-shirt to business casual to dressy. It is really up to you! We just ask that you dress respectfully as our focus should be on worshiping the Lord.
Nursery
Available
We love and encourage kids and babies alike to be in the Sanctuary with us during service! If they get fussy and need a break, we have a Nursery available across from the Sanctuary. It is fully equipped with a changing table, bathroom, play area and seating to suit your needs. Our family restroom in the hallway also has a baby changing station as well.
Connect
With Us
When you get to church, be sure to fill out the guest book in the entrance! We also have Connect Cards in the back of the pews where you can provide your contact info so we can get in touch. We send out emails, so be sure to get on our email list to stay updated!
